MASAI is a years-long randomised controlled trial (RCT) to investigate AI-supported screening (using Transpara Detection) compared with standard double reading without AI. It was also the first RCT conducted in the Breast AI space and is the largest medical AI RCT completed to date.
As first author on the most recent and final publication from MASAI, Gommers shared the background and context on MASAI before diving into the paper's findings. The results might surprise you.
