About the job
Research and development at ScreenPoint Medical is aimed at improving the performance of our product to the level of expert radiologists and beyond, to keep making a difference in clinical practice. For this task, continuous growth and care of our databases is of crucial importance. We are looking for a Data Manager to lead the process of expanding and maintaining our clinical imaging databases of mammograms and other breast imaging modalities. Your role is to guide and monitor progress of the different stakeholders involved in the data acquisition process. This involves close collaboration with all the departments, like sales, management, R&D, software development and marketing. You will also include quality and regulatory affairs, to securely extract and archive data according to the data protection guidelines.

You will be part of a highly motivated and collaborative group of professionals with experience in breast imaging, machine learning, algorithm development and clinical research who work closely together in an informal atmosphere.

Your responsibilities will include:

Identify potential data sources using existing contacts within ScreenPoint Medical or establishing new ones. You will also lead the communication with potential data source institutions;
Guide the extraction, transfer, and archiving of medical images from different institutions world-wide;
Define secure procedures for data sharing and handling with attention to all legal and technical aspects. Monitor creation, data entry and maintenance of clinical imaging databases. You also guide the Data Assistants team and organize training & supervision;
In collaboration with Data Scientists and Software Developers, design and implement efficient procedures for data labeling and analysis, including the organization and supervision of the labeling effort;
Communicate with Data Scientists and Software Engineers to design tools that ensure efficient data access and quality. Additionally, you troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications.

About you:
ScreenPoint Medical is looking for a candidate with excellent project management skills, and the ability to support and coordinate multiple projects. In this position, you have to be an excellent communicator who can relate to various stakeholders, both within the company as with external parties. Therefore, you need to have the ability to transfer ideas and agreements to paper in professional language, and to drive the data projects in an independent yet unifying way.

Minimum qualifications:

Master degree or equivalent;
Excellent all round communication skills in English;
Clinical and/or research experience in the field of breast cancer;
Experience in the medical imaging industry;
Self-motivated with a high level of energy, enthusiasm and initiative.
Preferred qualifications:

Experience with programming in Python, bash or other scripting languages;
Meticulous, accurate, with attention to detail;
Experience with scientific data management and research;
Fluency in Dutch (or other languages, like Spanish or Italian).
